Description
At Monami, we pride ourselves on our specialized manufacturing unit, which is dedicated to crafting the highest quality hessian at the most cost-effective prices available.
Hessian is a finer quality plain weave fabric with a single warp and weft interlaced that is composed entirely of jute fiber. Because it is of higher quality, this fabric weighs less than sacking cloth.
Hessian is used to make bags to ship goods like coffee beans and other agro-commodities. The woven nature of the fabric allows the contents to breathe and is therefore ideal for products that are moisture-sensitive.
Hessian is often used for the transportation of unprocessed “green” tobacco. This material is used for much the same reasons as it would be used for coffee. Hessian sacks in the tobacco industry hold up to 200 kg (440lb) of tobacco, and due to hessian’s toughness, a hessian sack can have a useful life of up to 3 years.
Hessian is also commonly used for making sandbags, These Hessian sandbags are used for flood mitigation, building temporary embankments against floodwaters, or field fortifications.
Hessian fabric is widely used by the horticultural and construction industries to protect materials from the adverse effects of the cold. The properties of hessian have also led to its use for temporary protection as a wet covering to prevent rapid moisture loss in the setting of cement and concrete by the construction industry. The Jute fabric’s biodegradable properties make it ideal for uses that require the product to be either recycled or degraded. Fabric offers a wide range of agricultural uses such as seed protection, landscaping, and weed control. Also provides countless textile uses such as carpet backing and furniture backing.
Hessian fabric comes in a range of styles, including plain, treated (rot-proof), custom-printed, dyed, and bleached.
